How strongly do we
want the Peace and Blessing of God? In today’s society,
including the Christian world, I am not totally convinced that we are real serious
about this question. I watch closely the
world around me. I watch and listen closely to words that I hear from
the mouths of those around me, Christians included, and I quickly discover
that we, most often by choice, have placed such a limit on God, have
placed conditions on God, that we are not certain just what part He
plays in our lives. I see the church
settling in on the Modern trend of worship, appearance, etc, and it makes it
difficult to know just where we are with God. The Lord wants full
reign in our lives. That's why He sacrificed so much that we could have the
opportunity we have to know the fullness of joy and the victory
today. When everything is going just great, we are willing
to acknowledge God and His power, and we then are willing to give Him the
room to be supreme in our lives, but, when things don't go quite like we want
them to, we blame God for the problem, and we tend to back away, far
enough, that He doesn't have any real importance in our lives anymore. If God
can be turned on and off like a water faucet, then our worship and our
spiritual lives are empty. God must have full
part in our lives, and then, and only then, can, and will, we have the Peace
and Blessing in our lives. God bless you,
family of God. Love, Rev Dave |
